Spawner & Dungeon Finder for Minecraft
Find the dungeons on your seed, and the places where two or three spawners sit close enough to run from one AFK spot: the start of a multi-spawner XP farm.
How to use it
- Open the spawner finder with the button above; it starts on dungeon spawners.
- Enter your seed and pick the edition and version your world uses.
- Choose which mobs count (zombie, skeleton, spider) and how many spawners a group needs.
- Start the scan. Each group comes back with its coordinates; select one to centre the map on it.
- Check the spot in game before you dig out the farm room, and build it around the point that reaches every spawner.
Good to know
A spawner only works while a player is close to it: within 16 blocks, and in Java that distance is a sphere, so height counts as much as X and Z. Two spawners can share an AFK spot only if some point is within 16 blocks of both, which caps the gap between them at 32 blocks. Real farms want them much closer, to leave room for the kill chamber.
A dungeon is a small cobblestone and mossy cobblestone room with one spawner and up to two chests. In Java, half of all dungeon spawners are zombie spawners, and skeletons and spiders take a quarter each, so mixed pairs are common and matching pairs are rarer. Filter by mob when you want a matching pair, such as two skeleton spawners for bones and arrows.
Double and quad witch huts
Witch huts call for a different kind of group. Witches keep spawning inside a swamp hut, so a farm that covers two huts at once doubles the redstone, glowstone and sugar it produces. The catch is distance: one AFK spot has to be within 128 blocks of the spawning space in every hut, because Java never spawns hostile mobs farther from a player than that.
The same tool looks for witch huts in groups on Java seeds. A double hut is the realistic target on a single seed; a true quad is rare enough that finding one means searching many seeds, not one map.
Known limitations
- Only dungeon spawners are searched. Blaze spawners in nether fortresses, cave spider spawners in mineshafts, the silverfish spawner in a stronghold and trial spawners are not included.
- Witch hut groups are Java only for now; dungeon spawners work on Java and Bedrock.
- The scan covers a set range around the starting point and bigger ranges take longer, so start it near where you actually want to build.
FAQ
How close do two spawners need to be for an XP farm?
Close enough that one standing spot is within 16 blocks of both, measured in 3D. That caps the gap at 32 blocks; working double-spawner farms use pairs much closer than that.
Can I search for double skeleton or double zombie spawners?
Yes. Untick the mobs you don't want and the scan only groups the spawners that are left: skeleton only, for example, if you want a bone and arrow farm.
Does it find blaze or cave spider spawners?
No, only dungeon spawners, which hold zombies, skeletons or spiders. Blaze spawners come with nether fortresses, so the fortress finder is the way to find those.
Does the dungeon finder work on Bedrock?
Yes. Dungeon spawners are found on both Java and Bedrock; pick your edition first, since the same seed places dungeons differently on each. Witch hut groups are Java only for now.
