- Snowy Plains
You spawn on Snowy Plains at the bottom of a bowl, with an Ice Spikes patch only about 32 blocks away. That is a rare biome sitting almost on your doorstep. The ground climbs at least 40 blocks higher in most directions, topping out about 61 blocks above the floor. The nearest village is about 666 blocks east.
Everything close by is snow and spruce.
