A Desert Start with Hidden Underground Riches

You spawn in a vast desert with many structures nearby, especially underground.

An overhead view of a diverse landscape with a desert on the left, a large forest and savanna area on the right, and a body of water separating them. A river winds through the desert, and there are small patches of trees along its banks. The terrain ranges from flat desert to gently rolling hills in the forested areas.

You land in a large desert, but don't let the seemingly plain spawn fool you. Just a short walk from where you begin, about 48 blocks away, lies an Amethyst Geode, ready for you to explore. This makes for a quick start to gathering valuable resources without much travel.

Beyond the immediate underground treasures, a full village is only about 140 blocks away to the southwest. This offers a convenient early base and trading opportunities. If you're looking for more adventure, a Mineshaft is also quite close, about 204 blocks from your spawn point, providing an early source of ore and loot.

For those who enjoy a watery start, an Ocean Ruin is about 233 blocks east, and a Buried Treasure is about 255 blocks southwest. These structures offer different exploration possibilities right from the start, setting you up for either land-based or aquatic adventures.

What you land in

You spawn directly in a Desert biome at y=67, a fairly average surface height. The immediate area around you is mostly flat and sandy, typical of a desert, with a few cacti scattered about. You won't find any dramatic terrain right at your feet, but a River biome is about 72 blocks away if you need water.

Structures nearest to spawn

This seed is quite generous with nearby structures, especially underground. You'll find an Amethyst Geode and a Village very close to spawn. Further out, but still within easy reach, are a Mineshaft and a Ruined Portal, offering a good mix of early game exploration and resource gathering.

Biome mix around spawn

The dominant biome around spawn is, unsurprisingly, Desert, covering over a third of the nearby area. However, you'll also find a significant amount of Warm and Lukewarm Ocean, and a River biome is close by. For a splash of variety, a small Jungle patch is about 258 blocks away.
