Woodland Mansion Finder

Woodland Mansions only generate in Dark Forest biomes, and they're the most spread-out structure in the game — the nearest one is often 10,000 to 30,000+ blocks from spawn. The in-game route is buying a Woodland Explorer Map from a cartographer, which means finding a village, leveling a villager, and paying emeralds to get pointed at a single mansion. Skip all that: enter your seed on ezseed's free browser map and every mansion in the world appears as a marker. Pan out, compare distances, and pick the one worth the trip. It works for Java 1.20 through 26.2 and Bedrock up to 26.30, with no download or account — and since the view lives in the URL, you can send friends a link to the exact mansion.

Open the mansion map

How to use it

  1. Open ezseed.net, enter your world seed, and pick your edition and version — Java or Bedrock.
  2. Turn on the Woodland Mansion marker in the LAYERS rail; every mansion in the seed shows up on the map.
  3. Run the find-nearest-structure tool from spawn to get the exact distance to the closest mansion.
  4. Click a marker for its coordinates, then copy the URL to share the exact spot with friends.

Good to know

Mansions are worth the trip: evokers spawn inside, and they drop the Totem of Undying — the item that cheats death — making mansions the standard route to your first totem outside of raid farming. The problem is getting there. Dark Forests are uncommon, mansion spacing is enormous, and even a mapped mansion can mean a 20,000-block journey. A few things on the map help. Highlight the Dark Forest biome from the LAYERS rail to see the terrain around the mansion and plan a route. The distance-measure tool tells you exactly how far the trek is so you can pack accordingly. If your seed's nearest mansion is unreasonably far, the FINDER panel searches thousands of seeds for one with a mansion or a Dark Forest near spawn. And before you commit, open the 3D viewer and fly over the mansion site to scout the approach.

FAQ

Why is my nearest Woodland Mansion so far away?

Mansions are extremely spread out, and they only generate in Dark Forest, which is itself an uncommon biome. Distances of 10,000 to 30,000+ blocks from spawn are completely normal. That's why it pays to map every mansion first — the closest one is often in a direction you wouldn't have guessed.

Does this work for Bedrock Edition?

Yes. ezseed supports Bedrock up to 26.30 and Java from 1.20 through 26.2. Mansion locations differ between editions on the same seed number, so double-check that you've selected the right edition and version before you start the trek.

Is this better than buying a Woodland Explorer Map from a cartographer?

It's faster and it's free. A cartographer needs a village, emeralds, and trade leveling, and the Explorer Map points you at one mansion with no distance shown. The seed map shows every mansion at once with exact coordinates and distances, so you can pick the shortest trip — or decide the seed isn't worth it and find a better one.

What's actually inside a Woodland Mansion?

Evokers — the only mobs that drop the Totem of Undying — plus vindicators and dozens of rooms, some with hidden loot behind the walls. Mansions are the only place evokers spawn outside raids, which makes them the usual route to a first totem. Bring real gear; the fights inside are no joke.
