3D Seed Viewer: Fly Over Any Minecraft Seed in the Browser
A flat 2D map tells you where a seed's biomes are — not what the spawn actually looks like. ezseed's 3D seed viewer renders the seed's real terrain in your browser: hills, surface shapes, water, trees and vegetation, all generated from the seed itself. Punch in a seed, hit the 3D toggle, and fly around the spawn before you ever create the world. It's free, runs in any desktop browser with WebGL, and needs no download or account. When you find a spawn worth keeping, grab a screenshot or copy the URL — the seed, position, and view mode all travel with the link.
How to use it
- Open ezseed.net in a desktop browser and enter your seed — or pick one from the Popular seeds hub.
- Choose your edition and version: Java 1.20 through 26.2, or Bedrock up to 26.30.
- Click the 3D toggle. The map switches to a full 3D terrain view of the same spot.
- Fly around the spawn to check hills, water, tree cover, and how the terrain actually reads.
- Like it? Screenshot it or copy the URL to share the exact view, then create the world in-game.
Good to know
The 3D view isn't a stock preview — it's the actual terrain your seed generates, rendered in the browser with WebGL (three.js). Hills, coastlines, surface shapes, water, and tree and vegetation sprites all match the seed, so you're judging the spawn the way you'd see it in-game instead of guessing from a colored biome map. The mode lives at ?view=3d, so a 3D view is just a link you can send to a friend. It works in any desktop browser with WebGL; on phones, ezseed keeps the faster 2D map by default. Everything else in the app pairs with it: scout the area on the 2D map with structure markers and biome highlights, use the FINDER panel to hunt seeds by criteria, then flip to 3D to see whether the winner actually looks good. If you want inspiration, the Popular seeds hub at /popular/ posts daily curated seeds with 3D screenshots.
FAQ
Is the 3D seed viewer free?
Yes. ezseed is completely free, runs in the browser, and requires no download or account. The 3D viewer is part of the same app as the 2D map — toggle between them anytime, on any seed, for both Java and Bedrock editions.
Does the 3D view show the real terrain from my seed?
Yes — it's generated from the seed itself, not a generic preview. Hills, water, surface shapes, and tree cover match what the game will generate for that seed and version, so you can judge how a spawn actually looks before creating the world.
Does 3D mode work on mobile?
3D mode is built for desktop browsers with WebGL support. On phones and tablets, ezseed defaults to the fast 2D map, which covers all the same seeds, structure markers, and finder tools. Open the same link on a desktop to fly the seed in 3D.
Can I share what I see in 3D?
Yes. The view mode is part of the URL (?view=3d), along with the seed, position, and edition — copy the link and anyone opens the same spot. For forums or Discord, screenshots work well; the Popular seeds hub shares its daily picks the same way.
